Hi, I’m Liz.

Coach,
yoga teacher,
consultant,
podcaster,
hypnotist (yep for real),
and speaker.

I made my life

a place I want to be.

and I want that for you, too.

I get to be who I am and do what I’m meant to do, because I (finally!) came to the conclusion that there’s not one “right” way to build a good life. There’s only my way for me, and your way for you.

Over the past couple decades I’ve found success in various careers, tried on a multitude of hats, learned to live in harmony (mostly) with anxiety & ADHD, and beat a gnarly addiction to alcohol. Every season has it’s lessons, but the most shocking realization was this: I found that the healthier I become on the inside, the less I need gold stars (i.e. external validation) to survive.

My life and work are grounded in a simple philosophy: people thrive when they feel safe, when they have choices, and when they get the type of support that actually fits. My job isn’t to judge or to tell you who to be; it’s to help you learn to trust yourself, give yourself permission to make aligned changes, and most importantly, to feel at home in your own mind and body.

I bring a blend of science, lived experience, breath & movement, and subconscious re-patterning to help stuck humans get unstuck, and find the joy and freedom waiting underneath all the noise.

I talk at length about my story and more on my podcast, Starfish Diaries, which can be found wherever you listen to podcasts.

Why work with me?

I’ve been there.

I’ve walked through addiction recovery, identity pivots, careers in healthcare (former RN), nonprofit leadership, and digital community building - and every single chapter taught me the importance of rewriting the rules that are handed to us. I understand the courage it takes to even consider making big changes, so it is my favorite thing to help others do exactly that, in exactly the way that feels right for you.

I am an experienced yoga teacher & certified in hypnotism.

Yoga and the unique brand of inner work found in meditation and hypnotherapy cracked open the doors to my personal version of recovery by connecting me with the most true, compassionate parts of me. I deeply believe in the power of the body and subconscious mind to make shifts that might seem impossible at first glance. I have taught yoga and mindfulness to people of all types and all abilities, but I specialize in beginners. I like to “sneak spinach in the smoothie,” so to speak. I want this work to be as delicious as a milkshake… but with benefits and subconscious shifts blended in that you might not even realize were there until later. Not sure about hypnotism? Let’s talk! There is nothing to be afraid of and there’s a ton of science behind it. And most importantly, it’s very, very cool.

With a professional history that includes addiction recovery, bedside nursing, home health care and hospice, I understand how it feels to be a helper who struggles to get help.

It is an act of service to take care of yourself (this shocked me at first, too). Your joy, your freedom, and your ability to SLEEP for heaven’s sake… it matters to the people who love you and the people who are in your care. But let’s work on making it a priority for you! You can be the most generous & unwavering caregiver, activist, or parent in the world, but if you don’t have any joy in your own life, you’re missing the most important part. The part where you show your patients, your kiddos, and a world that needs you how good life can and should be! Fight for you the way you fight for them. When you feel better, the work you do is better, too.

I do not believe in the concept of “broken” people, and I am not here to fix you.

You have done the very best you could with the information and tools you’ve had. And you deserve support that fits the person you are and the future you want. If habits, behaviors, and self talk are getting in your way, we’ll work together to find the thing under the thing, and remove barriers to a future that makes you excited to wake up in the morning.
